The PNG-100 can generate both pink and white noise. It is very easy to use. You simply
patch the unit to an audio amplification system such as a home stereo system
(RCA cables included) or a set of amplified speakers (such as a pair of computer
speakers) to produce a pink or white noise sound. The unit can also power headphones directly. However, if you do plan on using headphones,
make sure that you use headphones that have built-in volume control (such
as a pair of T.V. headphones) otherwise the volume may be very loud. Scroll
down for technical specifications. Click here to download a sample recording. |
Both units come with an AC adapter, RCA cables (for hook-up to external audio equipment),
and owner's manual. |

The PNG-100 patched to a pair of computer speakers. Simply connect the phone plug
running from your computer speakers (which would normally plug into your computer)
into the PNG-100. |

The PNG-100 patched to a home stereo system. Simply plug the RCA cable into the PNG-100
and the RCA plugs (at the other end of the cable) into the left/right audio
input jacks of your stereo system. |

Since the same signal is delivered to both channels of your system, the resulting sound is in mono.
Therefore, if you desire true stereo sound (stereo sounds richer and fuller
than mono) two units are required. For stereo operation, you simply plug an RCA
cable into each unit and then connect only one RCA plug from each cable (does
not matter which ones - left or right channel) into your stereo system, leaving
two plugs unconnected. Personally, I prefer mono sound even though it sounds
more "plain". |
Please Note: Due to my work area being covered with sand particles that was blown
in from outside (I didn't notice it at the time) some of the units may have sustained
some light scratches on the top surface during manufacturing. It is barely
noticeable and does not affect performance in any way. |
